Floors that keep a business moving
A commercial floor has to do more than look clean. It must stand up to forklifts and carts, resist chemicals, wash down quickly and meet safety expectations for traction. Bare concrete absorbs spills, dusts under traffic and looks worn fast. Vinyl tile and sheet goods tear and curl. A properly specified resin floor solves those problems while staying bonded to the slab.
The business corridors here are a mix of retail strips, light industrial parks, medical offices, restaurants and auto shops. We work in all of them.
Systems by space
Warehouses and distribution. High-build epoxy with safety striping, designated walkways and forklift lanes. Thicker coats where pallet jacks turn.
Auto shops and fleet bays. Chemical-resistant epoxy or urethane with texture to handle oil, coolant and brake fluid. Reinforced around lifts and drains.
Restaurants and food prep. Urethane cement and coved base systems that tolerate hot water washdowns, grease and thermal shock, and satisfy health inspectors.
Medical and dental offices. Seamless, cleanable floors that resist disinfectants and roll smoothly under chairs and carts.
Retail, salons and showrooms. Decorative flake, quartz or metallic finishes that look polished and wear well, or polished concrete for very low maintenance.
Preparation at commercial scale
Commercial slabs often carry years of old coatings, mastic, sealers and contamination. We use large walk-behind grinders and shot blasters to remove them and profile the concrete, with industrial dust collection to protect inventory and equipment. Moisture testing is especially important on large slabs, where readings vary from one end to the other. Cracks and joints are repaired with materials rated for the loads they will see.
Scheduling around operations
We understand that closing costs money. We can phase large floors in sections, work nights or weekends, and use fast-cure systems to return areas to service in hours instead of days. Before starting, we coordinate with managers on access, ventilation, odor control and safe routes for staff. A written schedule lets you plan inventory moves and closures.
Safety and compliance
Wet floors cause injuries. We add slip-resistant aggregates matched to the space, heavier in kitchens and wash bays, finer in retail. Safety lines, hazard zones and ADA-friendly transitions can be built into the system. For food service, we use materials suitable for health code requirements and install coved bases where walls meet the floor.
Chemical and thermal resistance
Not all epoxies are equal. Standard products handle oil and mild cleaners. Shops dealing with battery acid, solvents or hot water need specialized novolac epoxy or urethane cement. We review what will contact the floor and specify accordingly.
Maintenance programs
Commercial resin floors clean with auto scrubbers and neutral cleaners. We provide a maintenance guide for your staff and can schedule periodic topcoat renewals in high-traffic zones to keep the floor protected for years.
Estimates
We visit, measure, test and discuss your operations before recommending a system. Estimates are itemized, and we can provide product data sheets for your facilities team or landlord.
Questions
Can you coat while we stay open? Often yes, by phasing sections and working after hours.
How long does a commercial floor last? With correct specification and care, many years. High-traffic areas may need a recoat sooner.
Do you handle small suites? Yes, from a single office to a large warehouse.
Flex space and small industrial suites
Many of the light industrial parks near the highway rent flex units that combine a front office with a rear warehouse bay. Tenants often inherit a stained, dusty slab with old tape lines and anchor holes from the last occupant. We can coat the bay with a high-build epoxy and safety striping while polishing or sealing the office side, giving the whole suite a consistent, professional look. Landlords appreciate that a well-prepared coating can be refreshed between tenants with a light sanding and a new topcoat rather than a full removal.
